In a recent airing of "Music Business Radio," producer/composer Alan Shacklock (Jeff Beck, Roger Daltrey, Chemical Brothers, Prodigy) praises Glint live on the air. Listen here. In other important Glint news, Nic Hard (The Bravery, Aberdeen City) has teamed up with Glint to do their next record, due out early 2008. We will try and keep everyone informed as much as possible with the album progress, but the band will be nestled in a private mountain-top studio estate in Oregon, beginning in November...

Glint is crowned the #1 independent band in the northeast by winning the IMWS 2007 grandprize. Over 1300 acts have entered the prestigious series, with one winner, chosen by Billboard Magazine, Jive, Atlantic, BMI, and Ascap. Glint won't be doing many shows for some time as they are in currently speaking to some of the industry's most cutting-edge producers. Stay tuned for more info on the upcoming album and on official press release on this recent victory.

Glint is an energetic two-piece pop-rock ensemble hailing predominately from the Northeast, based in NYC. After completing their debut album "Mode to Joy" (Rely Records, 2007) in an old adapted firehouse, the band embarked on its latest tour, and can currently be seen hitting the same famed national hotspots (Cutting Room, Knitting Factory, Crash Mansion, Nectars, Rainbow Room, Double Door) that launched their bevy of influences. Recent highlights include headlining the Central Park Bandshell, finishing 2 in Lollapalooza Last Band Standing, and being crowned the "best independent act in the northeast" by winning the 2007 Independent Music World Series, hand-picked by Billboard Magazine.
When not rocking the mic and using their unique blend of "space rock" to set minds a-spin across the nation, the band can be found put ting the finishing touches on their upcoming record with producer Nic Hard (The Bravery, Aberdeen City) for their 2008 sophomore release.

The next Glint show is going to be in front of an audience of thousands as they will proudly be one of the headliners in this year's PeaceXPiece Live From Central Park festival, in which Rely Records is a founding partner.
